Potential Cover!!!!!!!!
A few weeks ago a fashion student from Heriott-Watt asked me and my friend if we could model for her collection, on Monday we got our photos taken and this is one of them, the cardigans are her exciting creations.
For my viewpoint magazine front cover I wanted to use a photo of myself to then edit on photoshop. Doing this shoot on Monday, inspired me to use one of these photos as my cover as they look kind of professional and feature some funky fashion.
So I took this image and edited it, I made it really dark to create mystery and contrast but it was too plain in black and white, to attract I used a vibrant salmon kind of colour. The typeface is Didot - like in fashion magazines such as ELLE and VOGUE. I used it because originally the photograph purpose was for a fashion collection.
I really like the drawn on female face that disclosure use for their album covers, so it led me to using it in my image.
So far I am in love with this idea. Obviously I will have to include proper front cover features later on such as sub headings, barcode, price etc.
