Experimenting, developing ideas

It was a super sunny day yesterday and straight away I was in an amazing mood, when I got into college we got told what we should be doing for viewpoint, just to recap after the holidays and I just felt so inspired and full of energy to do something crazy.
I printed of  photos of Donald Trump, cut his face out and stuck onto some paper. I then cut them out and cut the eyes out too. Got some elastic bands from reception, cut out holes on both sides of the faces and put the elastic bands through and tied them so they would hold well to create Trump masks.

Looks quite funny but I thought the idea of Trump to come across as an asshole I have to make him look really stupid and cut out the mouth too.
Not a good look.

Me, Jack and Charlotte went to the playing fields and pretty much just messed about with the masks on, running, jumping, dancing about just being stupid.

I then opened up my chosen photograph from roughly 40 images and edited it on photoshop. I made it black and white straight away because I knew I didn't want too much colour as I didn't want it to look cluttered. I selected the masks with the magnetic tool and changed the colours of the face to yellow/orange shades to indicate Trump's stupid coloured face, and how it's everywhere and always being stupid and saying stupid things. That is shown by the fact that the image in black and white yet Trumps face still manages to get through and talk shit.

I thought this turned out well, except for some of the minor details.

This is the improved version of the top one, I moved the heading to a more appropriate place which is the while line on the grass, it makes more sense there. I also moved the column to go in line with the lamppost in the background as it looks a lot tidier and planned. I split the paragraph in a different location so the leg could make more of an appearance in the page.
Such little things, like moving something a tiny bit can make a huge difference with the visual effect that an image gives. It is important to check for such faults before coming up with a final outcome, that's why the development and experimentation stages are so essential in design.
