When Sam Cornwell came to our class and presented a talk, I must say I was gobsmacked. Out of all the artist talks we've had last year, he was by far the most inspiring and interesting.

"I often tell people that to be able to break the rules you must learn them first."

I saw this written on Sam Cornwell's tumblr blog, him saying that proves how much he has learned through his creative journey of photography. The range of stuff that Sam has done is astonishing, from a year using only disposable camera to astrophotography. The way that Sam sets himself extreme challenges to learn from is fascinating, I remember him saying that he only took 3 photos in one year, because he wanted to make them as good as he possibly could only concentrating on those 3 photos, for a photographer, or anybody, I think that would be extremely difficult to stop yourself from taking any photos what so ever.
