Like a professional

I knew the photography unit was on it's way and I have been preparing for it mentally. As soon as we got given the briefs, straight away, I started thinking like a photographer. Everywhere I walk I'll notice things and photograph them, not saying they are good photo's because I haven't mastered that as such, but I think it's a good start, so far I have used up 2 disposable cameras in 2 days and last night when the second one ran out, I took photo's on my phone on my way home.

When I was photographing this, I was thinking of Andreas Gursky and pattern in his photographs.

I really like places that a run down, rusty and a mess within nature. Not that it's good for the environment but it shows the real side of what people are doing to the planet, I tried to get the telephone box in the background but the phone camera isn't great.

So I heard on the radio yesterday morning that most of the telephone boxes around Britain are getting removed because they don't get used. Probably the most stupid thing I've ever heard, why would you remove something so historical and British? The red telephone box will always remind me of when I first moved here and immediately fell in love with the telephone boxes, they are iconic to this country. I felt I had to photograph the one close to my house before it disappears.

Took this through the dirty pay phone window, the notice about the removal.

Some broken wine bottles on the ground next to the telephone box, classic Scotland.

I like the yellow ish light that comes from inside the pay phone, such a different effect than the white street lights.

I don't know why I took that but so what.
