Extending Specialist Techniques- light
Yesterday I started experimenting with shutter speed and what it does when it is very low. After a while of just taking del-portraits of me waving my head about I accidentally caught a glimpse of fairy lights in the background, I didn't realise this could happen!! So cool, but rather than photographing the lights on their own, I introduced the lights in self-portraits - which made them very interesting, depending on how you move the lights they will create different marks and by placing the lights on my face I got different shadows and I think some of these images turned out really exciting.
Blurred face and very distinct lights, a very weird contrast. |
Strangely, I love this picture, the lights and shadows are really strong and I like the perspective. |
Moving them really fast creates mad visuals |
So weird, I was well getting into it. |
I look like a failed christmas tree. |
This has a real soft touch to it, makes me feel kind of nice looking at it. |
