frost :))))))

Took some photos this morning with the theme of frost, it gives a cold white outline of winter on ordinary things like bushes, leaves and fags like I have in the following photos. I have 2 sets of each image to show how and why I edited them the way I did.

I like this picture because the closest leaves are blurred and the back leaves are in focus which gives the image a more interesting focal point, however I thought it was a bit too light giving winter a false mood.

I edited this putting the brightness down and contrast up to create more of a dark winter feel to it, it makes the fort look more defined and I like that

I loved the texture of the frosty leaves on the ground, I wanted to convey the way they feel so I put the ISO down slightly to make the image darker to reveal the crunchiness of them.

I then slightly lightened it up on Photoshop rather than keeping the ISO high so I could define the leaves rather than make the image over exposed. Lighting it slightly made the hard grass more visible and the frost look very defined. Because both of these photos are quite dark - the bush and this one, I thought I'd make a trio of themed photographs.

Again, to avoid high exposure I kept the ISO down, I took this because the frost literally makes everything look so pretty. It would actually make dog shit look nice. Ugly fag ends turned into little fluffy frosty objects. I got quit close to see each little bit of frost.

I then lightened it and made the contrast higher for more shadows and also to make the colour of the cigarettes slightly more visible mostly for a focal point and some colour but also to show it is a cigarette.

I then put the three pictures together to create a frosty storyboard which feels quite dark and cold but looks rather pretty.
