Art Mag
After doing a little bit on the dancers with abstracted lines I had a thought of simply turning VIEWPOINT into an Art Magazine. You know how you get those articles in art magazines about artists and their work, featuring photographs of the actual artist with his art.
I then turned that idea into making, I got Jack to grab some of his favourite work and made him pose with it so I could get some snaps to make it look like I had interviewed him in his home and asked him about his art.
I then took photos of some of his work on it's own because I had this idea for the article to be about how he was found dead a month after the interview and his brother wanted someone to come into his apartment and get rid of all his stuff as he didn't know what to do with it. Then having a look at his paintings that he had in his apartment, they happened to have been worth a lot of money, but is that because he was dead already? Anyway, none of the painting had ever been seen by anyone before and the article was meant to be like UNLEASHED WORKS OF JACK LOCHHEAD.

Soooo I started to try these out in center page spreads as that was the main article
Kinda did this one as a piss take of a shit magazine, just to see how shit I could make it but how much better I do it. Awful layout, boing typeface and type layout, colours don't really work and it just looks like an amateur leaflet.

| This one I did for real, slightly less images as those can be then included on blank pages on the following pages in magazines for a better visual effect. I really fell in love with this typeface called OCR A Std, it really works within this article yet I felt this centre page was waaaay too neat, it did not reflect Jack's way of working at all, it was actually the complete opposite of what Jack is like at all, I mean the layout obviously. |

| When I messed it up a little bit it started to feel right, the spread out words on the left and the changed of type size and colour on the right side. Started to kind of express Jack's personality but still in a neat perfected way. |

I LOVE the right side of this, It is SO Jack. Some random pictures of some strange creatures and writing over the top of it, somehow i still feel the writing is too neat but in the end it is a magazine and should be legible, thats something that cannot be done if we were going full on Jack style. The left side is not very good I don't think, Well it's OK but not Jack. |

Because I really liked that side from the previous one I kept it and tried something different on the other side. This centre page spread fits Jack and this article very well I love it, yet I am going to keep trying to perfect it so it is definitely right in every way.
