into the still

Portrait, Landscape... Still life.

I really enjoyed taking the following photo's. What makes still life so good? The stillness. It's still, it's not going anywhere, you can re arrange it to how you want it. You can give yourself time to find the perfect setting as to what you're looking for in the photograph. These are some already made up still lifes in my home - untouched, the photo's just taken of them as they are.

The repetition on book like objects along with the repetition of light on the wall creates an interesting composition. It feels warm and homely.

Dishes before the clean
I like this in black and white a lot. The 3 round dishes create a visual triangle which keeps viewer in focus of the image, I love how all round object have a distinct border.

Change of viewpoint

This part of my kitchen always looks this way, every single day. Well maybe the sugar bowl is sometimes more full and the salt less full. But it always has the same objects in it -that's what makes it special.
