Extending specialist techniques - 2 faced

To continue within the theme of surreal photography, I have further utilised the use of slow shutter speed but this time, on Shannon. I think these photo's are very gloomy and represent a demon, a demon/ ghost from like the 1920's or something, really interesting outcomes.

I didn't have to edit the photo's much, all I really did was put the brightness up slightly and change them into black and white, I'm very pleased with myself how I can take the photo's I want to take on manual settings and not have to edit them much at all.

The backgrounds are as black as you can get and I think the effect wouldn't be the same without it, It's something I couldn't exactly do at home as I don't have the equipment...

fmp - too careful too careless??????

There are certain things I am extremely cautious about, yet there are times I just forget about it all because craving takes over or granny decides to send me 300 different kinds of Polish chocolate biscuits and it starts off a major binge. The photo of the eggs is me being cautious. Mainly because I will only eat eggs from a home farm - where the chickens run around (basically not factory farm eggs). And eggs are also very fragile, you have to be very careful when dealing with them. So the first two photo's are off my careful side. 3rd photograph is control loss - eating really fast, like so fast I don't even bite my food. While eating one thing I'm already thinking about what I'm going to eat next. 4th photo is all that Polish goodness my granny sends and that is a major influence in my loss of self control. 5&6 is the good stuff, I don't care that it's bad for you. It makes me happy.

FMP- morning body light

Joining the much loved morning light with the hatred of my body - made a beautiful set of abstract photographs. I always try and make the most of the sunshine that comes into my room in the mornings, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to tie this in with final major project.

Extending Specialist Techniques- light

Yesterday I started experimenting with shutter speed and what it does when it is very low. After a while of just taking del-portraits of me waving my head about I accidentally caught a glimpse of fairy lights in the background, I didn't realise this could happen!! So cool, but rather than photographing the lights on their own, I introduced the lights in self-portraits - which made them very interesting, depending on how you move the lights they will create different marks and by placing the lights on my face I got different shadows and I think some of these images turned out really exciting.
